Overall, foreign stocks have outperformed U.S. stocks, while value stocks held up better than their growth counterparts. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine added geopolitical uncertainties to a global economy already grappling with supply constraints, soaring inflation, and pandemic related obstacles.
